Green screen studio hire in Madrid

A built green screen, not a cloth backdrop. At The Black Cactus Studios we have two independent cycloramas inside a 300 m² stage in Leganés (Madrid). We paint the second one chroma green when your shoot needs it, so you work on a continuous, curved surface without a single wrinkle.

Why a painted cyclorama beats a fabric green screen

Fabric backdrops wrinkle, cast shadows in the folds and leave a visible line where the floor meets the wall. A built cyclorama has a curved join and a smooth surface: the light falls evenly, the green stays flat and the key comes out clean first time. That’s hours less post-production for every shot.

What it’s used for

What the stage includes

As well as the green screen: 8 × 7.5 m white infinity cyclorama, second cyclorama, dressing room with its own shower and bathroom, production office, climate control throughout the hangar, wifi, drive-in access to the set and parking. And if you need gear, there are 133 items of audiovisual equipment in the same building.

Is the green screen always set up?

It isn’t a backdrop: it’s a built cyclorama that we paint chroma green when your shoot needs it. Ask us what colour it is right now and we’ll give you the price of painting it for you.

What’s the advantage over a fabric green screen?

No wrinkles, no seams, no fold shadows, and the join between floor and wall is curved. The key comes out clean and you save hours of post-production.

Can you light the green screen for us?

Yes. The hire includes the space, electricity and parking; lighting and technicians are quoted separately and we rig them ourselves with our own equipment.

Will a car or a large set fit?

Yes. It’s 300 m² with drive-in access to the set, so vehicles, sets and productions with several crews at once all fit.

How much does it cost?

Are there traffic restrictions to get there?

No. We’re in Leganés, outside Madrid’s low emission zone (ZBE), 25 minutes from the city centre and with parking at the door.
