Cyclorama for cars and automotive shoots in Madrid

Shooting cars and automotive in Madrid requires something few stages have: space and vehicle access right onto the set. At The Black Cactus Studios you drive the car into the 300 m² stage with cyclorama, and because we’re in the south of Madrid there are no ZBE restrictions.

Vehicle access and plenty of space

The access lets you bring the vehicle right up to the cyclorama, with parking and room to manoeuvre for production. The white cyclorama gives an infinity background that makes the bodywork stand out, and the black one or colour with RGB LED gives more dramatic automotive looks.

Lighting designed for automotive

Lighting a car takes a large, controlled light surface to shape the reflections on the paintwork. We rig the lighting plan as a separate service and source the equipment needed.

How a car gets onto the stage

Access is drive-in and at ground level: the vehicle comes through the roller door straight onto the stage, with no ramps or goods lifts. With 300 m² of open space there’s room to place the car on the cyclorama, surround it with light and still have the distance to work on a telephoto lens, which is what avoids distortion in the bodywork.

The eight metres of clear height let you hang large diffusion above the car’s roof —which is what really solves the reflections— instead of fighting with panels at floor level. And being outside the ZBE, the brand’s vehicle and the equipment truck arrive with no emission-sticker restrictions.
