An interview lives or dies on the background and the sound

An interview shot in an office always drags the same things along: reflections in the glass, a wall that says nothing and the noise of the air conditioning. Here the white cyclorama, 8 × 7.5 m gives a seamless infinity background and the separate black cyclorama is the alternative when the tone of the video calls for something more sober. The space is an open-plan industrial building, insulated from street noise, so the room sound does not fight the voice.

If the piece is for a brand, the motorised 6 × 6 m truss with RGB LED panels lets you take the background to the corporate colour with no sets and no retouching afterwards. You build it once and every interview of the day matches.

Client and crew, each in their own place

On a corporate shoot there is almost always someone from the company watching, and that is worth organising. The production office doubles as a client room, with a television, wifi and coffee, so management and marketing can follow the shoot without standing on set. The dressing room, with its own bathroom and shower, is where the interviewees wait and get ready in peace. And drive-in access into the building saves carrying gear along the street.

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take to set up an interview?

With the cyclorama and the truss already in place, the set-up goes fast. The minimum booking of 3 hours usually covers set-up, recording one or two interviews and wrap.

Can I record several people on the same day?

Yes. That is the normal way with testimonial videos: the light stays built and the interviewees come through one after another, with the dressing room there to wait and get ready.

Can the client come and watch the shoot?

Yes. The production office works as a client room, with a television and wifi, to follow the shoot without being on set.

Can the background be my brand colour?

Yes. The RGB LED panels on the truss tint the cyclorama whatever colour you need, so the background can carry the corporate colour with no sets and no post-production.

Does it include cameras, lights and crew?

The hire covers the space, the electricity and the use of the facilities. Camera, lighting, sound and crew are quoted separately depending on the project. The studio’s equipment is always booked together with the stage.
